Joelle Aziz Translation Firm has proudly entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement with Saint Joseph University in Beirut (USJ)
USJ Translation Students to Gain Real-World Experience at Joelle Aziz Translation Firm
Joelle Aziz Translation Firm has proudly entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement with Saint Joseph University in Beirut (USJ), specifically with its School of Translators and Interpreters of Beirut (ETIB). The primary purpose of this MoU is for USJ to send its students to Joelle Aziz Translation Firm for internships, allowing them to gain valuable experience in the field of translation.
Gaining hands-on experience is crucial for students in this field, as it bridges the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application. Through this internship program, students will have the opportunity to work on actual translation projects, interact with clients, and understand the complexities of the profession. This practical experience will not only enhance their skills but also will prepare them for successful careers in translation.
Joelle Aziz Translation Firm is committed to providing a comprehensive learning environment for the interns. The firm will offer mentorship from experienced translators and opportunities to work on diverse projects. By doing so, the firm aims to help students develop a strong foundation in translation practices, improve their linguistic abilities, and gain confidence in their professional capabilities.
The MoU was signed by Joelle Antoine Aziz, owner of Joelle Aziz Translation Firm, and Professor Salim Daccache s.j., Rector of Saint Joseph University, on July 21, 2024. This partnership marks a significant milestone in strengthening the ties between academia and the translation industry in Lebanon, fostering mutual growth and development.
