Internship Training
On June 12, 2024,
Joelle Antoine AZIZ, the Sworn Translator and the founder and owner of Joelle Aziz Translation Firm and the media platform www.signaturebyj.com, in collaboration with Mr. Maroun BOU RACHED, Executive Director of Sat 7, and Dr. Dal HITTI, Coordinator at the Digital Transformation Network in Lebanon, conducted an extensive internship training program on language in diplomacy for the staff of the Consulate General of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
The initiative was aimed at provoking thought on security, and communication skills. The training delved into various critical aspects of language use in diplomacy, cybersecurity, and database protection.
Key topics included managing and driving emotions, liberating mindsets, identifying toxic and healthy behaviors, and understanding both negative and positive outcomes. These themes were chosen to equip participants with the necessary skills to navigate complex diplomatic interactions effectively.
Designed to improve the staff's proficiency in cross-cultural and strategic communication, the workshop also focused on enhancing their negotiation skills within the diplomatic arena and to enhance knowledge and skills in their endeavors in order to promote Ethiopia on public and media platforms. During the discussion, strategies for managing emotions and boosting personal well-being, which are crucial for maintaining professionalism and effectiveness in diplomatic roles were highlighted.
The program's success was evident in the positive feedback from participants and the notable improvement in their communication skills. At the conclusion of the training, Joelle Antoine Aziz, Mr. Maroun Bou Rached, and Dr. Dal Hitti were awarded certificates of appreciation by His Excellency Temesgen OUMER, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Lebanese Republic, in recognition of their valuable contributions to the program.
